LEAD CLIMBING CLINIC
An introductory class to lead climbing
This three-hour clinic covers all equipment, safety, and techniques needed to effectively lead climb .and prepare you for the lead certification test.
Classroom instruction: 1 hour
Hands-on training/Climbing: 2 hours
Each participant receives 15% off any lead climbing equipment on totals under $100 and 20% off totals over $100 in the pro shop purchased the day of the clinic.

TOP-ROPE & BOULDER CLINIC
The perfect class if you're new to climbing or if your eager to learn more
This course provides new or intermediate climbers with a solid foundation of climbing principles. We'll cover topics including climbing terminology, climbing techniques, concepts of power and endurance training, and the basics of upper and lower body movements.
Classes limited to 5 participants
Clinics will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month

MOON BOARD CLINIC
Learn the basics of the Moon Board
An introductory course that covers navigation of the mobile app, problem and beta reading, Warmups and conditioning strategies, and essential Moon Board climbing techniques.

Logan has been an avid climber for over five years now. A love for climbing exciting rock features outside, like Castleton Tower (pictured), is what drives his training indoors. Recently, he has been working on his Single Pitch Instructor certificate through the American Mountain Guides Association. Serving as a route setter for nearly four years he has honed his skills on the technical and physical side of climbing. Logan specializes in top rope and sport climbing disciplines with an emphasis on technique and body movement.
John was born and raised in Erda, Utah. He had his first experience with rock climbing at the age of 12. Between the ages of 15 and 18, John was a martial arts coach, trainer, and instructor. At 18, he became a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School. He has since become the Director for the outdoor leadership program where he started climbing. He has professionally guided rock climbing, canyoneering, and white water rafting. He has coached at the Rock Gym since the summer of 2019 and is a route setter.
Bryce is a fitness and outdoor enthusiast who has over 10 years of climbing experience, 5 years of Crossfit training, and several years of martial arts experience. He has trained and coached clients with wide-ranging fitness levels and goals. Training under professional athletes and receiving education in strength training and conditioning as well as his time coaching groups up to 30 people, and private coaching has made him ready to help you meet your personal fitness and climbing goals.
Jess is a student here at BYU-I and is currently studying Recreational Therapy and Nutrition. Jess has worked at The Rock Gym Rexburg for 3 years and coaches the level 3 climbing class. She believes that everyone, no matter the experience, can gain something from diving into this physically and mentally active sport. Jess has found that benefits that come from climbing span into all aspects of life and can build an individual's confidence, perseverance, and self-efficacy. She looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm for every aspect of this wonderful sport.
Sam is the current head coach and director over the kids climbing programs held at the gym and has been personally coaching climbing for 2 years. He has been consistently climbing himself for the past 3 years and is eager to continue his own education in the sport.
